TIPS FOR GREAT SENIOR STYLE  PORTRAITS

This FREE guide is to help you get the most out of your Senior Portraits. Being well prepared for your Senior Photo Session can make the difference between average and fabulous photos. Follow these easy tips and you'll be well on your way to looking your absolute best.  Jack McGill Photography has prepared this guide- A Terre Haute based Photography Company.

Style: You're unique and beautiful. Follow our guidelines but be yourself in how you dress.
Be fashionable. Wear clothing that's stylish and put a lot of thought into your choices. This is a unique opportunity and we want you to look amazing!

Clothes: Have clothes and accessories picked out the night before. The clothes you pick should reflect your personality and style. Group your outfits on hangers, with accessories. We give you unlimited wardrobe changes, so bring a LOT of options. The more outfits we have to choose from, the better. This will give us flexilibity in matching your clothing to backgrounds and surroundings. Your clothes should be clean and wrinkle free. Also, try on your outfits to make sure NO tan lines will be showing. Remember appropriate undergarmets. Straps showing in pictures are not appealing. Plan on changing quickly. The faster you change, the more time we have to photograph and the more photo choices you will have in the time alotted for your shoot.  We limit our shoots to clothing that will represent you, but will not accept any clothing less than school appropriate. No Bathing suits or anything that is not age appropriate.

Make Up: Bring any hair and makeup supplies you might need with you to your shoot. Makeup that is well done is one of the best preparations you can make for your session. It will even out skin tones and help give your photos that extra pop for a model-like look. DO NOT over do your make up. Wear base lightly and make sure mascara is not clumped and it is even.  And light on eyeliner.

Tanning: DO NOT use fake tanning creams. These tend to be orange colored in the editing process. Avoid tanning the same day as your session. You do not want to be burnt or red for your session.

Sleep: Beauty sleep is real! Even for Guys. Make sure you get a good nights sleep before your shoot so that you're fresh, well rested and don't have bages under your eyes. This will show in your photographs.

Hands and Feet: Make sure nails are clean. Use a natural/neutral nail color on your nails if you will be painting them. Avoid bright or bold colors, you do not want your nails to be a distraction in your portraits.

Props: Bring Props and accessories that fit your personality, your interests and your style. Make it fun!

Mindset:  HAVE FUN!!!! We're going to make you look great and you'll have a great time. That's why you chose Jack McGill Photography.

Relax. We like to think we're rather cool and easy to get along with. Plus, we help you with posing, so there's no pressure on you.
